About Me

Hello,

I’m Rosa,

I am a Certified Public Accountant with 19 years of experience in the industry. I am passionate about helping women thrive in their careers by sharing my experiences of working in Corporate America, to help them not make the mistakes I made.

I have created this platform to provide a support network for women to achieve a better quality of life. In this space, we will share tips, tricks and strategies to be productive in a world with so much information and distractions. Through this platform, we can lift each other up to effectively manage the increasing demands of working, while raising a family.

Elevate means to Rise in Spanish and English. This word is a cognate, which means this word has the same meaning, spelling and similar pronunciation, both in English and Spanish. I chose this word and modified it to the verb, Eleva in Spanish, to name my blog because I am Latina, and I want to share my journey with other career-minded women from all over the world. Also, I want to create a bridge between the two cultures I love!

Throughout my career, I’ve been a mentor, a mentee, and I’ve been sharing my 19-year career journey with college, and high school students who want to hear an honest opinion of what is like to work in the corporate world. Most recently, I was a mentor at Deloitte Academy, a mentorship program that prepares inner-city high school students to choose the best option for them; either going to college, trade school, or start working immediately. I’m also a volunteer in the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs literacy program.

Lastly, I am a Poderista™️ ambassador for a digital community, which main goal is to elevate, amplify and build Latina power, while harnessing the power of the collective to make change for herself, her community and the world for a better future

For all my amigas looking for a place to be seen and empowered, @poderistas is for you. Join me and follow this community built to celebrate our cultura and harness our PODER.

With John C. Bogle, founder and former chairman of the Vanguard Group. I’ll always cherish the time I had the opportunity to meet the legendary pioneer in person during the book signing of his book, The Little Book of Common Sense Investing.

Mr. Bogle always had a smile on his face when you came in contact with him, while on campus.
